PROGRAM SUMMARY


While supporting the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence in Colorado and elsewhere around the United States. The purpose of the National Concerned Officers Organization on Gang Activities, Inc./National CSI:

  1. Maintain a Children First focus
  2. Suppress gang activity through the cooperation of all community and governmental organizations.

The Organization provides:

(1) Gang Awareness and Training;

(2) Violence Intervention and Conflict Resolution;

(3) Bias/Hate Crime Investigative Research;

(4) Community and Educational Assessments; and

(5) Seminars, Workshops, and Police In-Service Trainings.

 

The Organization's objectives include:

(1) To keep the best interest of the child first;

(2) To actively take part and support any positive programs and families that addresses the needs of youth;

(3) To inform the community and law enforcement of any group that maybe criminally minded;

(4) To secretly monitor all hate groups and gangs and to inform the community if they take up criminal activities;

(5) To assist law enforcement in their efforts to stop juvenile delinquency;

(6) To assist outside agencies who deal directly with juveniles on a daily basis through seminars and group discussions;

(7) To provide guidance and programs for identified gang members and those members seeking to leave the gang lifestyle;

(8) To maintain an important role by assisting educators, clergy, public housing and youth violence through assessment and training programs;

(9) To motivate youth to be respectful productive citizens of the community; and

(10) To raise awareness on the issue of both juvenile and adult gangs through education.
